My Story: Scaling to Half a Million in 3 Years

My Story: Scaling to Half a Million in 3 Years

The origin story + how it relates to you.

When I got into growth architecting, I didn’t have a fancy title or a polished niche. I had a journal, some free trials of software, and a very real desire to build something that worked - not just looked good on paper.

It was 2019, and I was helping my then-husband launch a tree services company from the ground up. We weren’t just tossing up a logo and hoping for clients. We were laying the foundation for something that could last. Something that could scale with integrity, clarity, and soul.

The business was called Logs to Lumber, and it went from idea to half a million in revenue in just a few years.

Here’s how.

I Didn’t Just Add Software - I Built a Soul-Aligned System

From the beginning, I knew this couldn’t just be a hustle. We needed structure. And not the kind of structure that felt rigid, corporate, or one-size-fits-all.

I designed systems that matched the rhythm of the work and the capacity of the people.

We built workflows for sales, client delivery, and job site management.
I documented SOPs for key tasks like scheduling and managing the financial books.
We created a hiring and onboarding system from scratch - including team growth maps, pay structures, and an employee handbook that reflected real values.

And we didn’t just slap on a fancy, over-designed software. Tools were chosen that actually fit the way the team worked - and were refined or replaced as the business evolved.

The Result?

A business that didn’t need to rely on chaos or heroic effort.
One that was set up to run smoothly whether the founder was in the field or out of town.
Clear systems. A capable team. Space to scale without spiraling.

And yes, a business that crossed $500K/year in revenue within 3 years - with structure that felt sustainable and solid.

What This Taught Me (and May be Helpful for You)

This was my first business architecture project, and it showed me what most founders don’t realize:

It’s not just about effort. It’s about infrastructure.

If you’re constantly working in your business and still hitting a ceiling, it’s likely not a capacity issue - it’s a systems and strategy issue.

Since then, I’ve worked with creative, service-based founders across industries - helping them design businesses that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside.

I bring body, soul, and spirit-honoring strategy to scaling. Not ego-stroking complexity. Not bloated software stacks. Just the pieces that actually work.

I care about keeping business accessible and sustainable - not just for high-ticket launches and glossy brands, but for the visionaries who are pouring heart and soul into their work, often without the backend support they deserve.

Want to Work Together?

Right now, I’m soft-launching a partnership model for founders who are ready for deeper support, but in a way that aligns with their cash flow and scaling goals.

It includes a very accessible flat monthly base fee ($500) + a percentage of new revenue (10%), giving us both skin in the game and shared motivation to grow well.

Final Thoughts

I didn’t learn systems from a course - I learned them by building a business from zero. By paying attention. By staying curious. By designing structure that served the founder, not just the spreadsheets. (Though, yes, my engineering background and work experience in operations certainly helped!).

If you’re a creative entrepreneur with big vision that’s taking you to the edges of your capacity, I’m here to help you build the next version.

One that doesn’t burn you out.
One that holds your brilliance.
One that works - for real.

Let’s grow, with soul.
